EAST MEET WEST INTERCHANGE OVERPASS PARADE -the score:
Two parades will become one on an Indianapolisinterchange overpass. Participants and viewers representing the EAST and WESTof Indianapolis, Indiana, the United States and theworld will converge on each other visible to the speeding traffic below. Theparade will begin as easterns and westerns assemble oneither side and will end as they gradually drift away from the mash-up on the overpass.

1. A north-south line is struck where theInterstate 70 meets Interstate 65 at the Virginia Ave. overpass inIndianapolis.

2. All parade participants from the west side ofthat line will assemble at the intersection of East Street & VirginiaAvenue.

3. All parade participants from the east side ofthat line will assemble at the intersection of Shelby Street & VirginiaAvenue.

4. Those residing west of that line coming toview the event will assemble along Virginia Ave. west of the overpass.

5. Those residing east of that line coming toview the event will assemble along Virginia Ave. east of the overpass.

6. At noon on Saturday, April 26th, the twoparade groups will proceed on the right lane of Virginia Avenue heading towardseach other.

7. As each parade passes, the assembled viewersalong Virginia Avenue will fall in line behind.

8. The two parades will pass each other oneither side of the overpass, the following viewers may assemble in the centerof the overpass, or wherever they are comfortable.

9. The east marching westside parade (visible tocars on the northbound Interstate) may make a u-turn as it reaches the east endof the overpass, continue straight ahead to thebeginning point of the other parade or dissolve into a mash-up of east, westand audience on the overpass.

10. The west marching eastside parade (visibleto cars on the southbound Interstate) may make a u-turn as it reaches the eastend of the overpass, continue straight ahead to thebeginning point of the other parade or dissolve into a mash-up of east, westand audience on the overpass

11. Folding in on itself parts of the twoparades may pass each other, combine as one infinite circular parade, orcollapse into one mass where the lines between east and west,performers and audience disolves.

12. The parade will end gradually asparticipants, marchers and audience slowly drift away and head back to themuseum....
